The Embassy of Israel in Vietnam presented 10,000 Medical FFP2 face masks to Duc Giang General Hospital on November 11.

Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Nadav Eshcar also expressed his joy with this donation activity to the Vietnamese government and people. The nation expects more cooperation with Vietnam to fight Covid-19 pandemic.

Medical FFP2 face mask, gifted on November 11 by Embassy of Israel in Hanoi to the Duc Giang Hospital, is the kind of three-layer FFP2 mask made by Israel. The three-layer FFP2 face mask, which has the same structure as the N95 face mask, is prioritized for medical staff to prevent Covid-19 pandemic.

Last year, Vietnamese mask manufacturer PSD on September 22 handed over 100,000 medical face masks to the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam to help the Israeli people tackle Covid-19.

The aid manifests the two countries’ solidarity and joint efforts during times of difficulties and a proof of the Israel-Vietnam friendship and cooperation, Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Nadav Eshcar underlined.

Recently, on September 15, the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee to give 500 gifts including food and necessities with a total value of 100 million VND to people with difficulties due to Covid-19 pandemic in My Duc district, Hanoi. Accordingly, they are mainly the poor, the unemployed, orphans.

Each gift includes rice, noodles, cooking oil, eggs, milk, spices, etc., which helps to reduce the burden for households facing difficulties in food and food supply in the district. This program also aims to encourage Vietnamese people, to show the friendship and sharing of the two countries against the global pandemic.

Various cooperation between Vietnam and Israel have been carried out in healthcare over the years. Especially, it was noted that in late 2019, there were the participation of Israeli experts in training courses in first aid for cardiovascular emergencies arranged in eight Vietnamese provinces.
