European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students (ERASMUS) - is the EU's flagship program for education, training, youth and sport.
Over the years, the EU has closely cooperated with Vietnam in many areas, especially higher education. Through the ERASMUS and ERASMUS+ for the period 2015-2020, the EU has funded 74 research projects in Vietnam for more than 90 universities and ministries, branches, and research institutes and granted dozens of postgraduate scholarships.
Vietnam has participated in the ERASMUS+ since 2015 and has achieved many remarkable results in cooperation projects managed by the EU Permanent Agency for Culture and Education. Vietnam is also the leading country in the Asia-Pacific region with the most capacity-building projects approved, and the third in the number of students selected to study under ERASMUS scholarships.
On this occasion, the ERAMUS+ conference took place on October 22 and 23 in Hanoi with discussion sessions focusing on the main components of Erasmus+, including the Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), the International Credit Mobility (ICM) and the Jean Monnet Component (JMA).
In addition, representatives of universities from both regions also shared practical experiences, illustrating the achievements and opportunities that Erasmus+ brings. The event also created an opportunity for delegates to explore cooperation potential, thereby contributing to promoting the internationalization and modernization of higher education in Vietnam.
