Exciting Experiences At Vietnam-Japan Festival 2023

Taking place from July 13 to July 16, the Vietnam-Japan Festival 2023 is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan with rich content.
The festival aims to promote international cooperation between Da Nang and Japanese representative offices in Vietnam, with Japanese localities, businesses and artists.
Speaking at the opening of the festival, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that up to now, Da Nang cooperated with 20 Japanese provinces and cities. Da Nang established friendly relations and official cooperation with 4 Japanese cities Kawasaki, Sakai, Yokohama and Kisarazu.
People and visitors participating in the festival will experience and immerse themselves in tea ceremony performances, Japanese flower arrangement, and martial arts.
Visitors will participate in a Vietnamese-Japanese rock concert, a comic festival, and exchanges with famous Japanese artists, Vietnamese and Japanese art troupes.
Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theater in Da Nang will perform and introduce Vietnam's traditional culture and art.
According to Yamada Takio, Japanese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam, at present, Japan-Vietnam relations in all fields such as politics, security and defense, economy and culture are at the best stage ever.
The relationship between Da Nang city and Japan also developed strongly in the past 10 years since the start of this festival.
"Through this festival, I hope that the people of Da Nang city can directly experience Japanese culture and art, enjoy various activities including sports exchanges.
I hope people can discover and know about the long history of exchanges and cultural similarities between Japan and Vietnam, which have become the foundation for the development of the two countries' relations," said Yamada Takio, ambassador of Japan to Vietnam.

The event will have many interesting contents, such as 80 booths updating information on culture and products of Japan-Vietnam, seminar promoting cooperation between Vietnam-Japan, seminar introducing Japanese tourism, information day about studying abroad in Japan.
At the festival, there is an exhibition of paintings by students from Japanese cities that have a relationship with Da Nang with the theme "Vietnam-Japan in you," a football exchange class between the youth of Da Nang city and Kawasaki Frontale Football Club, Japan.
