Exhibition “Russia in the Eyes of Vietnamese Artists” opens in Hanoi
(VNF) - A collection of paintings of Russia made by Vietnamese painters are currently being exhibited in Centre of Russian Science and Culture in Hanoi from November 21st – 25th.
The exhibition entitled “Russia in the Eyes of Vietnamese Artists” presents paintings reflect the beauty of nature, and the landscapes and people of Russia by more than 50 painters.

The exhibition is co-organized by the Russian Culture and Science Centre in Hanoi and the Vietnam Fine Arts Association.
Among the visitors to the exhibition were Shafinskaya Natalia, acting Director of the Russian Culture and Science Centre; Medet Makulzhanov, Counsellor of the Kazakhstan Embassy in Vietnam; Dmitry Gil, Consul of the Belarusian Embassy in Vietnam; Viacheslav Kharinov, Chief Representative of the Russian Trade Office in Vietnam; Vladimir Shustov, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy to Vietnam; Tran Khanh Chuong, Chairman of Vietnam Fine Arts Association; Major-General Trinh Quoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Central Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association and Phung Trong Toan, President of Russian Literature and Teacher Association (VAPRYAL).
Addressing the ceremony, Shafinskaya Natalia, acting Director of the Russian Culture and Science Centre, hailed the innovation of the works, saying that they contributed to strengthening mutual understanding between people of the two countries.
The exhibition, as part of a series of cultural events jointly held by the two countries, is contributing to strengthening bilateral ties as well as mutual understanding between the two nations’ people, she stressed.
At the event, Chairman Tran Khanh Chuong praised Vietnamese painters’ hard works, adding that most of them graduated from universities in in Russia or Soviet Union.
He also presented the insignia of Vietnam Fine Arts Association to the Russian Culture and Science Centre.
