Experience The Unique Camping On The White Cliffs In Ha Giang
About 160 km from Ha Giang city center, the white cliffs are located on Ma Pi Leng Pass and about 2 km from Dong Van and Meo Vac. It is a familiar site for travelers and adventurers due to its poetic and unspoiled terrain. Many tour groups come to tackle the white cliffs but also stay overnight.

Local folks said that before Ma Pi Leng Pass, the walking path through the white cliff area was the route connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac. The current camping location is where the Meo King and his entourage stopped every time they passed by.
To get here, visitors follow the Ma Pi Leng pass, located on National Highway 4C - also known as the Happiness Road. After going to the Ma Pi Leng B section, visitors ride a motorbike for about 3km and then walk about 2km to the white cliff. The road is rough, rugged, small, and narrow enough for only one motorbike to go; the other side is the cliff, and the other side is the abyss. Going here is extremely dangerous, so tourists must have much experience and steady hands on narrow roads.

From the camping spot, tourists can see the Nho Que River and the pass looming from the distance. The premises on the white cliff have a small area (15 - 20 m2, located inside the stone dome), so large gatherings cannot be allowed, with a maximum of only about 10 people.
Although the white cliffs have been around for a long time, their attraction was only recently noticed when Ha Giang tourism became more popular. One of the exciting experiences here is camping and staying overnight. Therefore, visitors who want to camp overnight must bring the necessary items, watch the weather, and carefully check the conditions. It would be best if they built a small tent, a stool with a flickering fire, and a kettle of water.

In this remote wilderness, where Wi-Fi and phone signals are absent, visitors can completely embrace the tranquility of nature, providing a temporary escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
To fully relish the natural beauty, tourists should plan their visit on days with pleasant weather, avoiding the rainy season and foggy days that can badly affect movement and safety. The ideal times to explore this destination are August to November and March to May.
Things to note when camping on white cliffs: The temperature is about 4 - 8 degrees Celsius at night, so tourists need to prepare enough warm clothes as well as tents and personal belongings. They are advised not to litter indiscriminately. There is no water source so visitors need to prepare enough drinking water for the trip. The nearest grocery store is also a 30-minute walk plus 2 km by motorbike, so they need to prepare enough food and snacks for the camping trip.

Due to the remote location of the campsite, it is recommended to travel in groups for safety and mutual support.
