The Astronomy Park in Hanoi was designed and constructed by Malaysia-based EGO Group. As its concept design is based on the idea of simulating the process of shaping the universe billions of years ago, the park reproduces the Big Bang and the formation of planets in the solar system.
The construction of the first outdoor astronomy park in Southeast Asia started on July 4, 2017. The park area is 120.000 sqm, of which 6.000 sqm is the water surface area of the Bach Hop Thuy Lake.

The Astronomy Park features the Zodiac Square, Milky Way Garden, Solar System Square, Moonlight Bridge, UFO Playground, Alien Square, Black Hole Pool, and Light Fountain, among others.
In particular, Big Bang Square is the place to simulate the explosion that formed today's universe with the highlight being the Big Bang Tower with a small base that expands the higher it goes.

The center of the square is arranged with a UFO symbol in the form of a flying saucer and a system of alien sculptures around the square.
Black Hole Tank is located on the surface of the lake, surrounded by a floating platform and a boat dock. This is where water activities are held in the park.

The children's playground area has a terrain structure that simulates a "space grid" with protrusions similar to geological tectonics on the surfaces of planets.
Currently, all main entrances to the Astronomy Park have had their barriers removed. This park is open and free for tourists coming to have fun.

Developed under the theme of astronomy, it tells about the journey to explore the universe through the language of landscape design. The park is the place to nurture science, arouse people’s interest, and discover, and research the wonders of the universe and the far-off lands outside the Earth, especially for the young generation. The language is circles, spheres, spirals, and the basic geometric shapes in the universe.
