The Milky Way is a strip of soft white light that crosses the night sky. It extends from the constellation Cassiopeia in the north to the constellation Crux in the south, and is at its brightest in the constellation Sagittarius - the center of the Milky Way.

Normally, the Milky Way appears year-round in the sky. However, in Vietnam, the most favorable time to admire and take a photo of it is from March to October, on days when the sky is clear without the moon, and with no clouds and no rain. The Milky Way will rise in the southeast between 1 am and 3 am.

Known as the perfect trekking destination for tourists who are passionate about conquering nature, Cu Nhu San Peak is located in Y Ty commune, near the boundary mark 82 Cau Thien Sinh, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province. To reach Cu Nhu San Peak, tourists will have to move to the Y Ty Commune.

After the Lunar New Year, often around March, will be the most convenient for trekking in the Northwest mountains and forests. The weather is pleasant around this time of the year, with beautiful flowers blooming and comfortable temperatures.

Cu Nhu San Peak used to be a lesser-known destination since the path climbing there was not easy. However, there have been more tourists trekking here to experience the thrill of being in the forests and mountainous areas.

There are also tour guides available in Y Ty to help travelers along the way, so climbers don't have to worry about safety. For tourists who do not have any experience in trekking and climbing, they are advised to hire a porter to accompany them. Porters can help carry luggage and prepare drinking water and food for tourists. Hiring a porter is also considered to help visitors save time climbing and avoid getting lost.

The total climbing time is estimated to be about 17 hours, including meal and rest time. However, this time may vary depending on the physical strength of each visitor.

A lot of young travelers and photographers come to Cu Nhu San not only for the alluring natural scenery but also to witness the dreamy Milky Way. This special phenomenon appears all year round and can be easily seen with the naked eye without the need for any modern equipment.

Those who have been lucky enough to admire this fascinating scene said that it is the most amazing and stunning scenery that they have ever encountered.

To fully enjoy this journey, tourists are advised to prepare food, water, warm clothes, tents, and other necessary types of equipment, since Cu Nhu San does not have any tourist services. Climbers should avoid going on a bright full moon day, because the moonlight can dim the stars and make it hard to see the Milky Way. The time when stars are the most vibrant is from 2 am to 4 am.
