Explore The Majestic Red-Leaf Forest In Quang Tri
Liquidambar formosana is a large, native, deciduous tree that grows up to 30-40m tall. The leaves are 10-15 cm wide. The foliage of the L. formosana turns a very attractive red color in autumn. Leaves grow in an alternate arrangement, and are simple, palmately-veined, with serrated margins. Roots can be aggressive and branches are usually covered with corky projections. These trees grow mostly in woodland in warm temperate zones. It requires moist soil and can grow in light to no-shade areas.

Recently, the tranquil red-leaf forest in Khe Sanh town (Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri) received the attention of many young travelers who are passionate about nature and beauty. It is located in Khe Sanh town, about 70 km from Quang Tri provincial capital. From Khe Sanh town center, visitors can follow Highway 14 to Huong Phung commune, then continue to the hydroelectric lake.

The time when trees change leaves usually takes place from September to November. In Huong Hoa District, travelers can find these trees along Highway 9. Besides the forest, there are also many other stunning spots that young people can visit and help promote the beauty of Quang Tri.
