First-ever Czech and Slovak film festival in Vietnam
For the first time ever in Vietnam, a Czech and Slovak Film Festival will be held in Hanoi and HCMC this month to celebrate the 100th founding anniversary of Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic and Slovakia).
The event celebrates and promotes a contextualised range of classic and modern Czech and Slovak live-action and animated films to Vietnamese and expatriate audiences through a not-for-profit arts festival.
The week will present a selection of ten films including international award-winning pieces and some of the best of Czech and Slovak cinema.
The movies included The Line, Little Harbour, Perinbaba, Kolya, Divided We Fall, Three Wishes For Cinderella, Eva Nova, The Shop on Main Street, Fair Play, and The Dark Blue World.
The event will take place from November 6 to 10 at the National Cinema Centre (87 Lang Ha Str., Hanoi) and November 12 to 14 at the Cinestar Cinema (135 Hai Ba Trung Str., HCMC).
Tickets are offered free at embassies and cinemas./.
