First Hanoi Food Culture Festival to lure tourists in October
The Hanoi Food Culture Festival 2018, the first of its kind, will take place in the capital city from October 5-10 with an aim of introducing Hanoi’s cuisine legacy to locals and tourists alike.

The festival will recapture cultural spaces of craft villages associated with outstanding Hanoi food such as Hanoi Pho (rice noodle soup), Thanh Tri banh cuon (rice pancakes wrapped with meat), Vong and Me Tri green rice flakes, Quan Ganh rice cake, and Uoc Le pork pies.
A photo exhibition on Hanoi now and then, its cultural history and cuisine will also be held. It will introduce a code of conduct in public areas in the capital.
A major stage will feature exchanges with artisans and researchers on Hanoi cuisine as well as folk games to help tourists better understand the value of Hanoi cuisine.
Visitors will also have a chance to enjoy food cooked in traditional ways.
The organising board hopes that the event will contribute to promoting tourism in Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general.
Hanoi 's cuisine has been influenced by successive dynasties, which give visitors a perfect insight into the local culture, organisers said./.
