First Secretary of Netherlands Embassy presented with two Ministries’ Medals
(VNF) - First Secretary of Water sector and Climate of the Netherlands Embassy in Vietnam, Mr. Tom Kompier received two Medals and Certificates of merit from Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) and Ministry of Construction (MoC) on June 27th.
At the awarding ceremony, Minister Tran Hong Ha hailed the active and effective support and assistance provided by the Netherlands to Vietnam in general and the MoNRE in particular.

"Over the past four years, environmental resources have experienced a lot of events and activities. In specific, those important events of the Natural Resources and Environment sector always received the enthusiastic concern of First Secretary Tom Kompier," said the Minister.
He has played a pivotal role in the development related to water management, environment, and climate change in Vietnam, he added.
On the same day, MoC Deputy Minister Phan Thi My Linh congratulated Mr. Tom Kompier for the award of the Medal and Certificate of Merit for his contributions to the construction sector development in Vietnam.
This has marked a recognition of his achievements and important contributions to the strengthening and developing cooperation relations between Dutch Embassy and the MoC, especially in clean water supply and sanitation.
Especially Mr. Tom Kompier had many positive contributions in the field of water supply, wastewater treatment abd sanitation as well as climate change mitigation and adaptation of the Mekong delta.

For his part, Mr. Tom Kompier gave his pleasure to be awarded the medals of two ministries and and thanked their leaders for their interest in coordinating and creating favorable conditions for him to fulfill his tasks.
He promised to further enhance comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Netherlands in the field of clean water supply, environment and climate change response./.
