Google Reveals Special Effects for U23 Vietnamese Football Team's Victory

Googling "U23 Vietnam" will bring you a pleasant surprise, following the results of the Southeast Asian U23 Championship 2023.

On August 26, the U23 Vietnamese football team once again defended the championship of the Southeast Asian U23 Championship after defeating Indonesia in the final.

Following the news of the team's victory, Google Vietnam presented a special way to congratulate U23 football coach Hoang Anh Tuan' and his students.

This year marked the 4th Southeast Asian U23 Football Championship tournament, which was held in Thailand. The U23 Vietnam team entered this year's tournament as the defending champion. Prior to the final match, Vietnam U23 players passed the group stage with ease. They won against the Malaysia U23 team with a score of 4 - 1 in the semi-finals to meet the Indonesian U23 team in the final.

When users go to Google to search for "U23 Vietnam", immediately the website displays Google's search results with a unique fireworks effect. These fireworks form the image of the Vietnamese flag with a five-pointed star and a red background as they go off on the screen.

Currently, this unique effect appears on both smartphones and computers, when users search with the keyword "U23 Vietnam". The effect only appears on the Google Vietnam website.

This year, the journey to defend the championship title led U23 Vietnam to face U23 Indonesia in the final match at Rayong Stadium (Thailand) on the evening of August 26. The U23 Vietnam team had the opportunity to take the lead. While having a penalty, the players did not succeed in scoring in the first half. The two teams drew with a score of 0-0 after the official time as well as in the 30 minutes of the two extra periods, finally, they had to compete in a penalty shootout.

Even after 5 rounds of penalty, the game was still neck-to-neck. The U23 Vietnam team scored all 6 of their kicks, while the Indonesian U23 goalkeeper Ernando missed in the 6th round. The end result was U23 Vietnam won 6-5 and successfully defended the championship of the Southeast Asian U23 Championship.
