Vietnam Women's Football Team Praised by International Press

The great performance of the Vietnamese women's team in the match against the German women's team earlier this week left an impression to the media from around the world.

On the evening of June 24, the German women's team won 2-1 against Vietnam's team in a friendly match to prepare for the 2023 World Cup. Despite winning, the great performance of the Vietnamese women's team surprises foreign football fans.

Previously, the Vietnamese women's team also defeated both Frankfurt and Hoffenheim of Germany. A year ago, they were outside the top 40 in the world. The gap between the Vietnamese women's team and the top Asian teams such as Japan, South Korea, North Korea, China, and Australia was still quite big.

However, through this tour in Europe, Sohu commented that the Vietnamese women's team showed clear signs of strong progress. In particular, their defense has improved markedly. The ability of Vietnamese strikers to take advantage of opportunities has also improved significantly.
