At 23h50, Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Chairman Nguyen Duong Thai handed the decision announcing the removal of social isolation to leaders of Chi Linh City.

At 0:00 on March 3, the functional forces dismantled the epidemic control post at Sao Do Square after Chi Linh municipal authorities announced the removal order.

After the 15-day-long social distancing streak covering the whole provinces and 34 days of blockage in Chi Linh city, 29 provincial control posts, 108 district level posts and 812 communal posts were removed.
As of March 3, daily acitivities in Hai Duong are returned to its new normal state.

Barriers are collected and transported to the gathering place.
Still, residents in 7 districts (Binh Giang, Gia Loc, Nam Sach, Ninh Giang, Thanh Ha, Thanh Mien, Tu Ky and Chi Linh City) are not allowed to gather in group of over 30 people in public places, exept for schools hosptials, workplaces. Two people in direct contact must keep a manimum distance of 2m.

Hai Duong is the current largest COVID-19 hotspot in Vietnam, with 684 out of 868 cases of infection recorded nationwide since January 28. Chi Linh city has the biggest tally (383 cases). The province has 287 active patients under treatment, and 2,800 people under centralised quarantine. Vietnam on March 3 morning report 3 new imported cases.
