Apart from Hanoi, the list of the most-searched places also includes Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Phu Quoc in southern Kien Giang province, Hoi An in central Quang Nam province, Nha Trang in south-central Khanh Hoa province, Da Lat in the Central Highland province of Lam Dong, Hue in central Thua Thien - Hue province and Phan Thiet in southern Binh Thuan province.
The travel tracking tool Google Destination reveals that the number of international searches for lodging facilities in Vietnam last month increased 20% against September and 11 times over March.
The top 10 countries with highest searches for Vietnam tourism are the US, Australia, Singapore, India, the Republic of Korea, Japan, the UK, Malaysia, Thailand and Germany.

Notably, searches for Vietnamese destinations from the Indian market are rising quickly, with the volume in October increasing three times over July and doubling that in August.
The capital city welcomed nearly 983,000 international tourist in the first 10 months, almost reaching the yearly target of 1 - 1.2 million, the municipal Tourism Department said.
So far, 15.38 million visitors have chosen the capital city as their destination, a five-fold rise from the same period last year. That includes 14.4 million domestic arrivals, up nearly five times.
Tourism revenue is estimated at 43.69 trillion VND (over VND1.7 billion), increasing over five times year on year.

In October alone, Hanoi served about 1.51 million visitors, of whom 1.3 million were domestic and 212,760 were foreign, and earned some VND3.97 trillion from the sector.
Last month, the number of foreign tourists to Vietnam rose 12.1% over the previous month. Tourism revenue in the January-October period hit 425 trillion VND (17.08 billion USD), equivalent to 74% of that in the same period of 2019. The RoK was the biggest source of tourists to Vietnam, making up 26.3% of the total arrivals.
In October, the administration issued licences to 70 travel firms to operate international tours, raising their number so far this year to 2,816.
