On these days, Bac Son road in front of President Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum in Hanoi becomes more cheerful as many young people come here to take photos with the Ban (Bauhinia Variegata) flowers.
The white and purple Ban flower is typical of the northern mountainous region of Vietnam, and usually blossoms in spring.
Despite of having no century-old Ban flower trees in Hanoi, like in Dien Bien province, the flower in Hanoi contributes to beautify the city.
