Hanoi's handball beat Ho Chi Minh city after 13 years
(VNF) - Thirteen years is a long time to wait, but after this interval Hanoi beat Ho Chi Minh city in the national handball tour system.
During the recent ending final of the men’s and women’s matches of the national beach handball championships 2016 in Central Da Nang city, the 8-member Ho Chi Minh city team was a strong competitor for Hanoi rivals.
However, girls from Hanoi demonstrated an entrancing performance, finishing the game with 2-0 score, including a heartbreaking 2nd serve with 25-22. Yen Bai province and Ho Chi Minh city-District 3 teams both ranked third place.
The national beach handball championship 2016 is part of the handball competition system, building the professional skills of national players for the upcoming Asian Beach Games ABG5.
According to Lam Vu Trung, Head of Hanoi handball club, this year’s historic victory creates a strong impetus for Hanoi to develop this sport in the near future.
In the men’s final game, Ho Chi Minh city showed off their higher level over Hanoi to toast the Cup with a 2-0 victory, while Binh Dinh province and Ho Chi Minh city-District 10 teams both ranked third place./.
