HCMC, Korean Localities Ready to Sign Cooperation Agreement
At the meeing in June 7, Vice Chairman of HCMC People's Committee Vo Van Hoan said that over the years, the relationship between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea has achieved a new height when in 2022, the two countries upgraded their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership. Hoan believed this will be he momention to bring many relations between Ho Chi Minh City and localities of South Korea into practice.

On the basis of the existing relationship that HCMC has with Korean localities, HCMC is ready to further promote the cooperation relationship with Chungcheongbuk province in various fields.
Hoan claimed that the two sides have mutual interest and potential for cooperation such as high technology, semiconductor production, and green agriculture... Chungcheongbuk Province is located in the center of Korea. The locality has strengths in developing tourism, agriculture, and semiconductor production, and is also famous for solar cells, and biochemical research. Meanwhile, HCMC is one of the biggest, most dynamic, and fastest-growing cities in Vietnam.
In response, Deputy Governor Kim Myung Kyoo wishes to further strengthen the HCMC - Chungcheongbuk relationship through small initial cooperation that will lead to strong cooperation in many fields in the future.

The guest stated that Chungcheongbuk province's enterprises want to have specific cooperation, and contribute to the general development of Ho Chi Minh City. Chungcheongbuk Province is ready to cooperate with HCMC to study and implement cooperation activities in areas of mutual interest.
The two sides discussed signing a friendship cooperation agreement so that the two localities can promote exchanges, build coordination mechanisms, and bring people from HCMC and from Chungcheongbuk closer together.
