HIWC Annual Charity Bazaar raises fund for women and children
(VNF) - On November 27th, when a Winter Wonderland unfolds at St. Paul American School between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Hanoi International Women’s Club (HIWC) will hold its Annual Charity Bazaar.
Not only is it HIWC’s 30th Birthday Year, this year is also the 25th anniversary of its charity bazaar – one the largest charity fund raisers in northern Vietnam.
This year's charity bazaar will celebrate with a very special Winter Wonderland and Christmas theme.
Delicious food and drink from around the world, plenty of entertainment for children of all ages, great music and quality shopping will be at the bazaar.
The creation of a new street fair, full of handicrafts and objects d’art will add a touch more color to the already exuberant commercial vendors. The renowned Country Community Tables will offer tasty gastronomical specialties and thirst-quenching libations. For the energetic and restless youngsters, there are a generous amount of arts and crafts as well as sports and games.

The HIWC will be aiming to raise at least USD 100,000 for women’s and children’s charities in the Hanoi area.
This year’s venue will again be St. Paul American School, New Urban City - North An Khanh (Splendora) Km 10+600, Thang Long Avenue, An Khanh Commune, Hoai Duc District, Hanoi. Organization will be expecting over 8,000 visitors and participants at the school’s spacious and open plan campus.
Explains multi-lingual Bazaar Coordinator Ha Angelet-Phan (Phan Hoang Ha) said, “The volunteers are all very capable. Everyone involved believes in the purpose of the Bazaar and wants to contribute to its ongoing reputation and to what keeps families returning to it annually. It’s not about beating a past record but assuring that the Bazaar continues to thrive and be a source of pride to the Hanoi community at large.”

Tickets will cost VND 150,000 (USD 6.6) for adults and VND 50,000 (USD 2.3) for children if bought in advance. As usual, tickets will be available in advance from international schools and shops and restaurants in Tay Ho and Hoan Kiem areas. Tickets will also be available from shuttle bus pick up points.
Ticket holders will be able to use free shuttle buses from locations to be announced.
At the entrance to the bazaar on the day of the event, the adult ticket price will rise to VND 200,000 (USD 8.8) while children’s tickets will remain priced at VND 50,000 (USD 2.2).
Tickets to attend this year's annual bazaar will be available for purchase from the Moose & Roo, St. Paul American School, British International School, Hanoi International School, Hanoi International Kindergarten and UMA stores.
Donations in kind are offered as items for HIWC’s "Silent Auction". Donated cash is added to the Bazaar income, and all donations go to women's and children's health, education and community development charities in the Hanoi area.

Last year, via its main fundraising event, the annual Bazaar, the HIWC garnered over USD 100,000 to contribute to orphanages, hospitals and clinics, schools and vocational training centers in Hanoi and neighboring areas.
The HIWC is a dynamic voluntary group of over 450 members from nearly 70 different countries, of all nationalities, ages and walks of life. It brings together the expat community for friendship and charity and to keep its members updated of events on the world stage./.
