Ho Chi Minh city and Seoul sign cooperation deal
Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee Le Van Khoa and the Vice-Mayor of the Republic of Korea’s capital Seoul Gyoung-gee Liu signed a deal establishing the friendship and cooperation relations between the two cities, thus further promoting the comprehensive ties in all areas.
According to the signed deal, in the future, the two sides will carry out friendship exchanges and increase cooperation in the development of urban infrastructure, education and tourism, as well as investment promotion and economic cooperation.
Addressing the deal signing ceremony, Vice Chairman Le Van Khoa said that the signing was a good start for carrying out cooperation projects, making the cooperation more effective, and contributing to fostering and developing the Vietnam – RoK strategic partnership.
He expressed his hope that Korean enterprises would invest in areas that Ho Chi Minh city was prioritizing, including building traffic infrastructure, preventing flooding and tackling environmental pollution.
Gyoung-gee Liu stressed that the cooperation deal would help make a foundation for stronger cooperation between the two cities in all areas, adding that Seoul would be willing to share experience and solutions with Ho Chi Minh city in addressing problems arising in urban development./.
