Within the framework of the official visit to Cuba from August 22-24, a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Nguyen Trong Nghia, secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the Central Propaganda Department, coordinated with the Communist Party of Cuba to organize a seminar on the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro to the Vietnam-Cuba relations.
Speaking at the event, Nghia said the speeches by Director of the Military History Research Center José M. Cereijo Torres and former Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Fredesmán Turro González highlighted the profound significance and noble values in the revolutionary thoughts of the two Vietnamese and Cuban leaders.
The Head of the Central Propaganda Department emphasized that there are many similarities between the two personalities and revolutionary ideology.
President Ho Chi Minh and Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro were both pioneers who paved the way and took the lead in the struggle for people, the uncompromising struggle against colonialism, oppression, and injustice.
The two leaders not only strived and devoted their whole lives to the cause of national liberation of Cuba and Vietnam, but also showed the two peoples the path of a radical liberation struggle.
This helps to firmly ensure the people's independence, freedom, and happiness - the path associated with national independence and socialism.
Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) Central Committee and head of its Ideological Department Rogelio Polanco Fuentes highlighted a need to disseminate the ideologies of leader Fidel and President Ho Chi Minh, who laid the foundation for the Cuba-Vietnam relationship. It is a special friendship marked by exceptional, genuine, and transparent camaraderie, which is rare in international relations.

They promote cooperation on the Party channel, share experience in ideological research, and political, and ethical education, disseminate and safeguard ideological foundations, and counter false and distorted accusations.
