Indian Yoga came to Vietnam
World Yoga Alliance (YAI) recently decided to establish its representative office in Vietnam, abbreviated as YAI Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Swami Vidyanand, President of the World Yoga Alliance stated: “We are here to bring the Indian Yoga spirit as well as the World Yoga Alliance to Vietnam."
He pledged to select experienced and knowledgeable centers and teachers to help promote this Yoga spirit in Vietnam.
“I hope the peace of Yoga as well as the health brought by Yoga will create momentum for the new development of YAI Vietnam in the coming time. I also hope that Vietnamese yoga teachers will utilize their knowledge to teach yoga in other part of the world as well,” said Swami Vidyanand.

“Vietnam is a beautiful, peaceful country with good relations with India and that is why I have chose Vietnam for establishing YAI Vietnam. This is the first time I came here and found everyone very joyful and everything very lovely and precious," said President of the World Yoga Alliance.
According to Swami Vidyanand, the headquarter of YAI Vietnam is located at 149 A Hue street which will also serve as the headquarter for South-east Asia region.
At the ceremony, Tran Thi Diem Huong, President of the World Yoga Alliance in Southeast Asia, emphasized that the purpose of establishing YAI Vietnam is to disseminate knowledge and enhance Yoga practice in Vietnam.
YAI is the first Yoga organization licensed by the Indian government with a worldwide network. The UN General Assembly took June 21 every year as an International Yoga Day to honor the benefits of Yoga to human health./.
