KOICA supports health care in Lam Dong province
Mr. Chang Jae Yun, Country Director of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Vietnam Office on May 8th handed over physical therapy medical equipment worth about USD10,000 to the Don Duong district Health Care Center in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.
This is one of supporting activities proposed by KOICA volunteer Park Joung Eun who is currently rendering voluntary service at the Center to improve the health care service to patients.
Ms. Park also bought medicine and several medical equipments to provide free health check-up and medicine to more than 100 patients. She proposed to make hand-outs on practices with backbone degenerative disease or osteoarthritis to deliver to patients at the Department of Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation.
Under the Lam Dong provincial Department of Health with two functions health check-up and preventive medicine, since November 2013, the Don Duong district Health Care Center has received volunteer Park Joung Eun to work here to support the physical therapy for the local people./.
