Korean guitarist Sungha Jung to return to Vietnam next week
Sungha Jung, a guitarist from the Republic of Korea, will return to Vietnam for a pair of live concerts in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on September 15 and 16.
In his fifth visit to Vietnam, the 22-year-old guitarist will perform his own new music, creating a young and modern music atmosphere for the concert.
On previous tours, he has performed many famous pieces of music such as “Stay with me,” “Beautiful,” and “River flows in You.” He has collaborated with Vietnamese singer Van Mai Huong for the song ‘”Neu nhu anh den” (When he comes).
All tickets for his past performances in Vietnam have sold out quickly.
As a Korean prodigy who started playing the guitar at the age of five, Sungha Jung is now very well-known, especially on YouTube with more than 1.5 billion views and over five million subscribers by September 2018.
Apart from his own compositions, Sungha Jung delights audiences with his renditions of many world famous songs including “River Flows in You,” “Somebody That I Used to Know,” and “Thinking Out Loud.”
He has released 8 albums to date, the latest being Mixtape, issued in May 2017.
He has collaborated with many famous artists from the Republic of Korea and from around the world: 2NE1, G-Dragon, Kotaro Oshio, Trace Bundy, Andy McKee, Tommy Emanuel, Jason Mraz and others and has toured many countries including France, America, Denmark, Finland, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, and China.
Sungha Jung Live in Vietnam 2018 is organized by Youth Theatre, Vietnam Fingerstyle Guitar Organization and the Republic of Korea’s Wind Strings Entertainment, aiming to promote the development of fingerstyle guitar in Vietnam./.
