In the last days of 2021, Khanh Hoa province welcomes the first Russian tourists to return after nearly two years because of the Covid-19. While the pandemic is still complicated, the event has confirmed that Vietnam is still an attractive tourist destination for tourists.

Party for special guests

A group of 325 Russian tourists arrived in Nha Trang on flight number ZF743 of Azur Air, which took off from Vnukovo International Airport, Moscow, to Cam Ranh International Airport, Khanh Hoa province at 6:00 a.m. on December 26.

After landing, visitors move along a separate lane to carry out immigration procedures and conduct health screening at the airport. They install PC-COVID, IGOVN apps before coming to resorts and hotels in Bai Dai area, Cam Lam district such as Selectum Noa Resort Cam Ranh, Cam Ranh Riviera Beach Resort & Spa, Vinpearl Nha Trang. These are places that have been allowed to welcome international guests in a separate area, ensuring no contact with the community.

During their stay in Khanh Hoa, guests can visit and experience famous tourist attractions in the province such as: VinWonder Nha Trang amusement park, Ana Marina Nha Trang; sea tour on Nha Trang Bay, city tour, shopping and dining at some licensed locations.

Natalia Rakavichkina, a Russian tourist, said: “This is the sixth time my family returned to Vietnam. I have been to many places, but I am particularly impressed with the food, climate, and tourism services in Nha Trang. Therefore, when I heard that Nha Trang was open to international visitors, I was excited and decided to come back.”

Since last month, Vietjet Airlines flight VJ3749 landed at Phu Quoc International Airport, bringing 204 Korean tourists to Phu Quoc United Center to relax and travel.

This is the first international tourist group of Vietnam's tourism industry in the new normal phase after nearly two years due to Covid-19.

Exploring the “new normal”

Not only international guests, but domestic guests also have trips during the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Phung Quang Thang, standing vice chairman of Vietnam Travel Association, building tourism products is a decisive factor to the level of tourism business development, especially in the new context. In addition to the requirements of general product criteria, tourism also needs to focus more on factors that ensure safety during the pandemic, and enough attractiveness of the product.

From the actual needs of the tourism market in the current and post-Covid-19 period, travel businesses have focused on developing cultural tourism and in-depth exploration.

Saigontourist Travel has a wide range of products to meet the needs of many tourists in different market segments, from small group travelers, family, friends to visitors of the MICE type (combined tourism with conferences, events, and seminars). The products are completed in the direction of flexibility, attaching importance to open space, ensuring safety against Covid-19 with interesting destinations such as Ha Long (Quang Ninh), Da Nang, Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh), Ben Tre.

Recently, the Famtrip brought the visitors unforgettable experiences with the journey from the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Culture in Thai Nguyen, the land of Dai Tu to the famous Tan Cuong tea area.

Visitors when coming to Thai Nguyen, can discover the richness of the cultural life of the ethnic groups in Vietnam, see the green tea hills, pluck tea leaves and experience the stages of tea making. Those are really the moments when each person can calm down, love their nation more, and temporarily forget the worries of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has officially launched a campaign called "Live fully in Vietnam" to welcome international tourists back to five destinations in the country.

The five destinations are the northern province of Quang Ninh, the three central localities - Quang Nam province, Da Nang city, and Khanh Hoa province's Nha Trang city and Phu Quoc island in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang.

With this campaign, for the first time since March 2020, foreign visitors will have the opportunity to experience new tours and routes in the country, cited VNA

The campaign kicked off at a favorable time, after the World Travel Awards 2021 named Vietnam among one of the Asia's Leading Destinations last month. The award also recognized Ha Long Bay – the UNESCO-recognized heritage site in Quang Ninh province - as a leading tourist attraction in Asia.
