Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long An Nguyen Van Duoc made the statement at the investment connection seminar between Long An and South Korean businesses on October 23 in Seoul, South Korea.

A South Korean business delegation visited Chanh Viet Investment and Trade Joint Stock Company (Ben Luc, Long An) in July 2023.

According to Nguyen Van Duoc, South Korea currently has 207 investment projects in Long An, with a total capital of over USD 960 million, accounting for 9% of total foreign direct investment (FDI) in Long An, ranking 2nd in the number of projects and ranked 3rd in the amount of investment capital. Thanks to the investment from South Korean and other partners, Long An is named in the top 10 leading localities in attracting FDI in Vietnam.

Long An has also signed cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding on economic, cultural, and social development cooperation with South Korean localities, including South Chungcheong, North Jeolla, and Yangsan city of South Gyeongsang.

Businesses in South Korea highly appreciated Long An's potential and the local authority's support. This opens up opportunities and favorable conditions for South Korean businesses and investors to invest in Long An through many specific activities.
