This year, LUT has returned with new rules, routes and meaning. Upon registering as a Smile Warrior, runner became a messenger for Smiles and a great supporter for Operation Smile Vietnam, helping children born with cleft lip and cleft palate.

LUT 2019 was truly a challenging tournament and that was why every athlete at the beginning carried with them a mission of a "warrior". Furthermore, besides the presence of Free Warriors who desired to conquer themselves and tournament challenges, the participation of Smile Warriors helped Operation Smile Vietnam to write up the beautiful tale for 25 life-changing smiles for the unfortunate children.

As an enthusiast for social works, Nguyen Ngoc – one of first five Smile Warriors – has shared that "this is a race where I care much more about the meaning of it rather than personal achievement, and I feel very proud to be a part of it. Sharing is caring."

When he shared this with his mates, everyone surprisingly showed great support for his thought. The smile warriors not only had to search for their sponsors, they also had to complete 3 challenging loops to put their endurance to the test. After all, that’s what LUT is well known for: beautiful routes yet filled with challenges, promising runners many unforgettable moments.
