During the time of supporting Ho Chi Minh City against the Covid-19 pandemic, a young nurse was helped by her colleagues to organize a unique online wedding, right at the field hospital. The bride wore a white ao dai, the guests were medical staff with familiar white and blue shirts, and the wedding venue is a field hospital - perhaps this is the most special wedding during Covid-19 pandemic.
The beautiful bride of that wedding is nurse Ngoc Diep (24 years old, in Hanoi) who is participating in anti-pandemic support at the Covid-19 Resuscitation Center in charge of Bach Mai Hospital, located at the Field Hospital No. 16 (District 7, HCMC).
The wedding took place on September 29, connected online at 3 locations. One at the groom's house in Hanoi, one from the guests attending at Bach Mai Hospital (Hanoi). The third place is where the bride is working, at the meeting room of the field hospital. |
Previously, the family of Ngoc Diep and Quang Huy had set a date for the wedding. However, because the pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City became complicated, she and her colleagues went to the South to support. Diep determined that the pandemic would be quickly pushed back and the date of return would still be in time for the wedding day.

However, as the pandemic worsened and the number of patients continued to increase, the way home seemed to be a long one.
Concerned as much, the beautiful nurse became more worried when she looked at her colleagues who were straining to hold on to the lives of the people. Therefore, after discussing and pondering, Diep decided to continue to stay.
Instead, in order not to affect the date of marriage, she plans to quietly do the wedding online alone, in the warehouse at the Field Hospital No.16.

A few days before the wedding, a colleague discovered that Diep was sitting in a corner of the hospital, doing her own wedding through the phone screen.
Upon hearing the incident, the doctors, nurses and colleagues were extremely moved. Almost immediately, they joined with volunteers to organize a wedding ceremony for the nurse right at the Covid-19 treatment place. They find every possible way to borrow the ao dai and fix it to fit the bride.
Mai Huong, a volunteer, when she got the information, took care of the wedding arrangements.

After that, red cloth, flowers, fruits, wedding cakes printed with the names of the bride and groom "Quang Huy - Ngoc Diep" were brought in turn and completely free of charge - as a gift the people of Ho Chi Minh City give to those who support them in the fight against Covid-19.
"The cake was made in a hurry, so there was no box to store it. I stopped by to buy hand-held flowers and also told the seller that it was a gift for a nurse's wedding. Unexpectedly, when she finished wrapping, she gave it to the bride for free. This is our love, thank you very much for your hard work in fighting the pandemic," said the owner of the wedding cake shop.

A cozy wedding ceremony, full of happy laughter took place. There was no party or toast, but the two hearts seemed to share the same beat, with joy and congratulation through the screen.
The wedding ended, the bride seemed to be more motivated in the upcoming arduous journey, with the desire to save the patient's life as well as the day when she can finally reunite with her "half."
