Vietnam Times would like to share his letter's full text to readers:

On behalf of the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association, I have the honour to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to you and the committee of the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association and, through you, to the people of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on this auspicious occasion of the 45th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on 6 August 2021.

Over the past 45 years, Thailand and Vietnam have enjoyed a close relationship and good neighbourliness because of our long determination to cordially support each other. Our bilateral ties were not just the outcome of the diplomatic cooperation but also our geographical proximity, traditional and cultural similarities. The Thailand- Vietnam Friendship Association remains as committed as ever to further strengthening this close bond of friendship between Thailand and Vietnam. The vibrant relationship which we have maintained for the past 45 years will certainly pave a way towards a more dynamic strategic partnership in the decades to come.

Despite the vast impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Thailand- Vietnam Friendship Association wishes to reaffirm its strong commitment to further contribute to the constructive cooperation between our two countries. As the special year of Thailand – Vietnam relations, there are various joint commemorating activities lying ahead of us later this year. This, in turn, will lead us along the road to further enhance our cooperation and understanding, and above all, our people-to-people connection to the next level in many years.

I wish you and all members of the Vietnam -Thailand Association as well as their families a good health, happiness, and success.

(Mr.Sanan Angobulkol)
