In Kuala Lumpur, on July 22 and 23, the Malaysian press and media positively evaluated the official visit of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his wife to Vietnam.

Bernama news agency timely updated information as well as photos of the visit.

Major Malaysian newspapers such as New Straits Times, The Star, Malaysia Mail, and Malaysia Today all have front-page articles with prominent headlines along with friendly images between Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at the Book Street in Hanoi.

The New Straits Times published an article with the title "Five Decades of Diplomatic Relations: Prime Minister Anwar seeks better ties from Vietnam."

The Star published many articles with titles such as "Prime Minister Anwar's Visit to Vietnam to strengthen ties and expand cooperation," "Prime Minister Anwar: Malaysia can learn from Vietnam's development experience," and "Vietnam rolls out the red carpet for Anwar."

Some other major newspapers had the headline "Prime Minister Anwar: Vietnam is a close friend of Malaysia, a country with an admirable recovery speed."

On his personal Facebook page, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed his appreciation for Vietnam's warm and respectful welcome to him and the high-ranking delegation of Malaysia.

He assessed that the visit brought positive results, and expressed his hope that the two countries would continue to strengthen cooperation for the benefit of both countries.

The status also mentioned the meeting with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, including the exchange of views on the issue of anti-corruption. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said that there should be coordination between the authorities of the two countries in this field.

With the conversation with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with beautiful photos kept on his personal page, he wrote, "I noticed many positive things after meeting with my counterpart. I feel the enthusiasm from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of investment and trade, agriculture, defense and security as well as the halal industry."

"We also share on international, regional, and ASEAN issues," he wrote. "We see a lot of consensus."

Meanwhile, on his personal Facebook page, Malaysian Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) Utama Zafrul, shared his impressive first morning in Hanoi as he jogged for 30 minutes in the morning at West Lake.

Minister Zafrul also shared a photo of drinking coffee at Book Street with Foreign Minister Zambry Abdul Kadir and Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet with a status expressing satisfaction and excitement, "Sometimes we just need to sit together like this, and the story is solved without the need for meetings in the halls." He also commented on delicious Vietnamese coffee.

On his personal page, he affirmed that the space for economic cooperation and investment between the two countries is still large.
