Visitors at the festival will have an opportunity to admire the panoramic views of Da Nang city from above.
The event is held jointly by the Da Nang city People’s Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Da Nang Paragliding Club.
It is among a series of artistic, cultural and sporting activities in response to the city’s Summer Rendezvous programme, which is hosted annually by the city authorities in order to promote Da Nang tourism.
As scheduled, pilots will take off from Ban Co peak on Son Tra peninsula, which is located at 600 metres above sea level, and land on Man Thai beach.
Particularly, from June 21st to 24th, members of the Vietwings Hanoi Paragliding Club will provide a double glider service to offer visitors at the festival an opportunity to admire the panoramic views of Da Nang city from above.
Last year’s event has attracted more than 100 paragliders from domestic clubs like Vietwing Hanoi, New Sky, or the Northeast, and foreign clubs in Korea, South Africa, the U.S., England, Australia, and Laos.
Son Tra peninsula is one of the most spectacular paragliding sites in Vietnam. This air sport is becoming more popular with young adventurers./.
