The Embassy of the Netherlands and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on July 18 signed an agreement to launch the Accelerate Circular Economy for Business (ACE-Biz) project to promote the circular economy for Vietnamese businesses.

The ACE-Biz project is expected to contribute to Vietnam's shift to a circular and low-carbon economy through business model transformation.

The project develops circular guidelines and implements capacity-building programs.

It promotes technology transfer, builds and pilot quality certification to enhance the exchange of secondary materials and recycled products through the online marketplace.

The project will be implemented with the cooperation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the participation of private partners, and research units in Vietnam and the Netherlands.

The project develops comprehensive technical guidelines, supporting businesses to apply circular industrial wastewater treatment, improving the sustainability and efficiency of recycling operations.

It also designs and implements a training program to provide knowledge and raise awareness for Vietnamese businesses about sustainable production, and circular business models to reduce environmental pollution.

The project's collaborative activities aim for change, establishing a solid foundation for sustainable economic development through connecting and maintaining a network of pioneering circular enterprises.

A significant demonstration component of the project involves establishing a closed-loop model for circular industrial wastewater. This model will showcase the economic viability of circular industrial wastewater treatment, inspiring and encouraging the adoption of similar models in other regions and industries.
