The central coastal province of Khanh Hoa greeted about 1.8 million tourists staying overnight in the first half of the year, fulfilling 45% of the year’s target, reported the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Of this, foreign tourist arrivals were 410,000 or 41% of the year’s plan. Total tourism revenue posted VND2.93 trillion, 40.7% of the year’s plan.

According to the department, during the period, the average length of stay of each overnight visitor to Nha Trang was 2.3 days during the period with average room capacity reaching 65.5%.

Total tourist arrivals to Nha Trang in the first six months were 6.7 million. Markets sending the largest numbers to the coastal city were Russia (79,000), China (36,000), the Republic of Korea (18,000), Australia (17,000) and the US (13,000).

Many cultural and sporting events will be organised in Nha Trang in the time to come, such as the Sea Festival 2015 from July 11^th to 14^th, the 2015 Miss Universe Vietnam Pageant and the 6^th Audi Hong Kong – Nha Trang yacht race./.
