Nicole Scherzinger, an U.S. pop star with Filipino roots, will visit Da Nang City on July 6^th-7^th to perform at the 2018 Cocofest music festival.

According to the organizing board of Cocofest music festival, Nicole Scherzinger and renowned Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Luis Fonsi will bring their hit songs to the event.

The music festival is directed by Vietnamese artist Viet Tu. Aside from the two famous foreign artists, the event will draw the participation of Vietnamese singers Dong Nhi, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Isaac, Soobin Hoang Son, and Min.

Tu has promised those attending the event a “true music festival experience.” He also said the event will boost Da Nang’s tourism profile.

The music fest, which will include street dancing, camping and many other activities following "Laugh. Love. Live. Repeat." is expected to attract over 30,000 visitors.

Nicole Scherzinger is the former lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls who broke up in 2010. One year later, she released her debut solo-album “Killer love”, it sold 140,000 copies and was a UK best-seller.

In 2010, she was the winner of the U.S. Dancing with the Stars contest. In 2011, Nicole was a mentor and judge on The X-factor show in the UK. In 2015, she won the “I can do that” variety show in the U.S.

Nicole’s wide range of talents has seen her act in several movies including Men in Black III, Cats, and the 2017 remake of Dirty Dancing.

Da Nang is one of the top tourist destinations in Vietnam. In the first quarter of this year, the central coastal city attracted 1.69 million tourists, up 34.7 per cent against the same period last year. More than 819,000 were foreign arrivals, up 58.9 per cent./.
