On April 12, Ha Thi Nga, president of the Vietnam Women's Union received Cuban Ambassador Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen to discuss the Vietnam Women's Union's visit to Cuba in the near future.
At the meeting, the leaders of the two countries expressed their joy when discussing plans for Vietnam Women's Union to visit Cuba. This is another brilliant cultural exchange between the two allied nations.
Ambassador Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen appreciated the visit of the Vietnam Women's Union. He said this is an important high-level delegation to visit Cuba at this time.
He said that the proposals of the Vietnam Women's Union were agreed by Cuba. Cuba has fully prepared for the signing of the cooperation agreement between the Women's Unions of the two countries.
The Ambassador hoped that the delegation would have the opportunity to experience and understand more about the people, culture, and fields in which many women participate.
Ambassador Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen also said that the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam will continue supporting the Women's Unions to carry out the agreements signed by the two sides.
President of the Vietnam Women's Union, Ha Thi Nga agreed with an appropriate work schedule in terms of time and place when the delegation visited and worked in Cuba.
“This visit to Cuba is meaningful when the Vietnam Women's Union has successfully organized the 13th National Congress of Deputies. The Association is also in the process to get approval to carry out a separate project supporting women's international integration," said Ha Thi Nga.
She said that this visit will be successful because the Women's Union of Vietnam and Cuba has had close coordination in many previous activities.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Association only organized a small-scale delegation to visit Cuba. However, President Ha Thi Nga hoped to receive a lot of support and attention from the Embassy and the Cuban Women's Union. She also wanted them to help in carrying out the signed agreements.
Ha Thi Nga said that the contents of the agreement signing between the two Associations will be concretized by the Vietnam Women's Union in the operation of the 13th National Congress Resolution. It has contributed to tightening the relationship between the two units for many years.
As planned, from April 17 to 23, 2022, Ha Thi Nga, president of the Vietnam Women's Union will lead the Association's delegation to visit Cuba. During this visit, the Cuban Women's Union will organize programs such as visiting the Science Centers; Fidel Castro Center; Cigar factory, home to many female workers; parade on International Labor Day. |
