Opportunities to Explore Vietnamese Culture in UK
Hoang Hai Ha, head of Ladies of all nations international UK-Vietnam said: In the program "Vietnam Days in UK 2022", art exhibitions by Vietnamese artists have attracted the attention of many people, including British and international art lovers.
Works by artists such as Xeo Chu, Pham Binh Chuong, Do Minh Tam, Dinh Quan, and Doan Van Toi have introduced to the public the beauty of the country, people, and culture of Vietnam. The quality of the exhibitions particularly and of Vietnamese paintings is appreciated by British art experts.
Along with painting, British people are also interested in learning about Vietnamese dances, traditional costumes, and handicraft products.

According to Hoang Hai Ha, as Vietnam-UK relations are developing, the introduction of culture has been focused by Vietnam with rich and practical content, spreading the image of the country, people, culture, and development potential of Vietnam
During Vietnam Days and Vietnam Week in the UK, cultural exchange activities such as art exhibitions, Vietnamese music nights, and investment activities took place, attracting tens of thousands of British and overseas Vietnamese.
These activities provide great opportunities to introduce the image, country, and people of Vietnam, the attraction of Vietnam's economy, and tourism. The events are appreciated by British and international friends, especially when Vietnam is one of the first countries to organize cultural and commercial exchanges in the UK after 2 years of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Vietnamese community in the UK is interested in preserving the culture and identity and introducing Vietnamese culture to their second homeland. This is a positive signal for the promotion of Vietnamese culture in the UK.
“Vietnamese culture is rich and unique. To introduce Vietnamese culture to the world, Ladies of all nations international UK-Vietnam has organized many Vietnamese cultural programs in the UK; introducing collections of Vietnamese Ao Dai to the host country and other countries around the world.
We are thinking of organizing a festival program imbued with the cultural imprints of Vietnam's regions, focusing on folk music and the beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai," Ha said.

The head of Ladies of All Nations international UK-Vietnam also spoke at the event.
"Compared with the potential and requirements, there are still many limitations. Overseas Vietnamese associations have limited resources and have not had much interaction with the host community and international friends. They have not yet attracted the attention of international media due to their small-scale and small events.
"The introduction of culture, therefore, needs to be done methodically, through a strategy of promoting culture abroad. Attention should be paid to introducing the unique traditional values of Vietnamese culture; building Vietnamese cultural symbols, and cultural product brands, and attracting international friends.
“The journey to promote Vietnamese culture, especially the Vietnamese Ao Dai abroad, cannot be completed in just one or two days. It is a journey that needs passion, dedication, perseverance, and the cooperation of many organizations and individuals.
When Vietnamese culture becomes prominent, it will become a valuable part of world culture and contribute to the nation's strength," Ha said.
