On June 7, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic, in collaboration with the Czech-Vietnamese Education Center and several Vietnamese businesses, took part in the 8th Prague International Food & Culture Festival 2025, held at Victory Square in Prague.
With five booths at Victory Square, Vietnam has dynamically showcased its national identity through cuisine, agricultural goods, and traditional cultural products, strengthening the Vietnam-Czech strategic partnership.

According to the Vietnamese Embassy to the Czech Republic, the Vietnamese booth drew large crowds, standing out with the vivid red of the national flag. Visitors enjoyed signature dishes such as fried spring rolls, pho, iced milk coffee, and fresh coconut water, alongside traditional handicrafts like conical hats, silk paintings, and ceramics.
This year’s highlight was the debut introduction of Vietnam’s frozen seafood products - whole squid, cuttlefish, and shelled or shellless clams - to the Czech public and international guests. This marks a significant step in showcasing Vietnam’s export potential and reinforcing the quality of its agricultural and aquatic products in the European market.
The festival welcomed participants from 56 countries, with sponsorship from the Senate, the House of Representatives, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, and the Prague 6 district government. A diverse range of activities -including music performances, folk dances, and handicraft displays - created a dynamic cultural exchange space celebrating global traditions.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam emphasized that the culinary culture festival presents a valuable opportunity to showcase Vietnam’s country, people, and culture to international audiences. It also plays a crucial role in fostering people-to-people exchanges and mutual understanding among nations.
He noted that the Vietnam-Czech relationship has seen positive developments in recent years, with both sides officially elevating their ties to a Strategic Partnership during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visit in January 2025. This year’s cultural promotion activities aim to put the Strategic Partnership into action practically and effectively, reflecting the depth and significance of the bilateral relationship.
Vietnam’s active participation in cultural promotion not only spreads Vietnamese values globally but also highlights the Embassy’s role as a bridge between communities, strengthening the image and position of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic.
