Over 130 Spring flower markets to blossom in southern hub

The Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee has agreed to open 131 Spring flower markets in districts to serve residents and tourists during the Lunar New year (Tet) 2016.

The Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee has agreed to open 131 Spring flower markets in districts to serve residents and tourists during the Lunar New year (Tet) 2016.

Accordingly, District 10 will have the most flower markets with 21 locations, followed by Thu Duc (19), Can Gio (18) and District 8 (13).

Apart from a flower mart along the embankment of Tran Xuan Soan street and on Binh Dong wharf and another at Binh Dien wholesale market starting from January 24th, all flower markets will open on February 1st to 7th.

Free wi-fi service will be provided at most of the markets, such as Le Van Tam park, Gia Dinh park, Phu My Hung flower market, Binh Dien market, Le Thi Rieng park (District 10) and Phu Lam park (District 6).

Earlier, the city People’s Committee announced that its annual Spring flower festival will be organized from February 3rd to 14th, 2016 with the theme “Ho Chi Minh city - Peace, Prosperity and Development” at Tao Dan park in District 1.

The entrance fee is VND20,000 for adults while children are permitted free of charge./.
