The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that out of 27,347 South Koreans laborers, 23,581 are staying in Vietnam (86.23%), 3,766 returned home and not yet come back to work. By position, there are 12,911 experts, 2,997 technical workers, 6,033 managers, 5,406 executives.
Earlier at a meeting with the Ministry of Health of Thai Nguyen province, a representative of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co,. Ltd. In Thai Nguyen said the company has temporarily stopped receiving people from Korea to Vietnam work.
As of March 4, there are 15,310 Chinese are working in Vietnam. Of which, 2,615 are being quarantined, one third decline compared to the last week.
Encouraging Vietnamese in South Korea be calm to work
To prevent and control Covid epidemic, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs recommends that Vietnamese workers in Korea, including illegal workers, proactively report health status and monitor health as prescribed of the host countries.
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs also encourages Vietnamese workers abroad, especially in Daegu and Gyeongbuk (South Korea) provinces to work calmly, not to move away from their living places if unnecessarily, to limit the spread of disease.
Nearly 290 Italian workers work in Vietnam According to a report by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, at the end of February, the whole country received 284 Italian workers. In particular, functional agencies have granted work permits for 277 people. |
