Patient of Vietnam’s fifth heart transplantation recovering quickly
36-year-old patient Le Hong H., who has just undergone a cross-country heart transplantation from a dead brain donor is recovering quickly, said Hue Central Hospital yesterday.
The patient is recovering quickly from the surgery
Before, the heart was taken from a dead brain donor at 13h45 on August 15 in 108 Hospital. It was then transported to Hue Central Hospital by airplane at 16h15. The heart transplant surgery is performed at 17h.
The patient was transferred to the recovery room at 22h. He is now recovering very well.
The heart is transported from Hanoi to Hue by airplane
Professor Pham Nhu Hiep, Director of Hue Central Hospital said, this is the fifth cross-country heart transplantation in the hospital. He also sent thank-you to the donors and colleagues to work together for the surgery.
