Photos and films bring Latin American culture to Hanoians
(VNF) - The Photos & Films Exhibition showcasing Latin American culture was kick started in Hanoi on Tuesday as one of the event to celebrate the Pacific Alliance Week.
The inauguration ceremony was jointly launched by the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Embassy of four countries in the Pacific Alliance which are Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.

Speaking at the opening address, Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Huynh Vinh Ai highly appreciate the creative ideas of the aforementioned embassies in conducting the Films & Photos Week, as a captivating event to reinforce friendship, cooperation, promote trade and culture-arts exchange between Vietnam and the Pacific Alliance.
The exhibition will help enrich Vietnamese people's knowledge and foster their understandings of the Pacific Alliance's exotic cultural identity and value, he noted.
Ambassador of Chile to Vietnam, Chairman of the Pacific Alliance 2017 Claudio De Negri, for his part, affirmed the strategic partnership with Vietnam and expressed hope to further strengthen the relationship.
He also stressed the role of the Pacific Alliance, which has gone beyond its initial role as a trade bloc. The alliance is dedicating vast efforts in promoting cultural exchange between countries. Specially, the Pacific Alliance attaches great importance to enhancing people-to-people ties, the diplomat noted.
The Films and Photos Exhibition is scheduled from May 22 - 28 at Vietnam National Library, 31 Trang Thi Str, Hoan Kiem dist, Hanoi.
