[Photos] Cultural Festival Honors Hanoi's Legacy of Peace
The “Cultural Festival for Peace” took place in Hanoi on October 6 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) and the 25th anniversary of Hanoi’s recognition as a “City for Peace” by UNESCO. The event recreated the heroic historical moments of the capital 70 years ago.

| The festival continued with parades and performances showcasing traditional folk arts such as the ancient dragon dance “Giao Long,” the “Bong” dance, and the traditional art of “Cheo tau tong goi.” There were also performances and exhibitions of water puppetry, “Xam” singing, and demonstrations of the UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage of tug-of-war games.
