Phu Tho Women's Union Donates Two Houses for Disadvantaged Females in Laos

Phu Tho Women's Union recently hosted a handover ceremony, presenting two houses to two disadvantaged households in Luong Nam Tha district, Luong Nam Tha province (Laos).

The two houses donated to two disadvantaged households in Na Noi and Hua Na villages were built with support funds from the Phu Tho Women's Union worth VND 120 million (about US $4714). Each house has an area of ​​4mx6m, is a level 4 house with brick walls, and metal-sheet roof.

Earlier this year, during the visit to Luong Nam Tha province in April 2024, representatives from the Phu Tho Women's Union also presented 10 charity houses (Mai Am Tinh Thuong) to disadvantaged women, 100 gifts, 1 set of computers to the Women's Center to support women. Other activities of the visit included meeting with the families of disadvantaged women in Luong Nam Tha who were supported by the Phu Tho Women's Union with Mai Am Tinh Thuong.

Phu Tho province and Luong Nam Tha province officially became twin provinces on November 23, 1979. Since then, despite many difficulties in socio-economic development, the two sides have maintained and developed many cooperative activities to provide each other with multifaceted support.
