- This is the first time the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association has a chairman that represents the business sector. What is the position of business connection and economic cooperation between the two countries in the Association's activities this term?

Thailand and Vietnam have established a strategic partnership for nearly 10 years. As two neighboring countries, we have good relations in all fields, from the economy, investment cooperation to culture, society, and education. Notably, over the past 30 years, Vietnam has warmly welcomed and created favorable conditions for Thai investors and companies to do business.

As the Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and the Chairman of the Thai Business Council, I have always encouraged the establishment of a Thai Business Association in Vietnam to promote Thai trade and investment in Vietnam. In fact, we did it. Thai investors doing business in Vietnam are very excited about the enthusiastic support from the Vietnamese government and people. They see Vietnam as their second homeland.

In addition, we try to connect with more than 100,000 Vietnamese-Thai. We support them so that they feel secure living and doing business in Thailand, bringing prosperity to the locality where they live.

Taking on the position of President of the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association, I have a more favorable position to expand and develop the fields that I have been in charge of at the Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and the Chairman of the Thai Business Council in Vietnam.

- You shared good news during the meeting with the President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations that Accenture Thailand Company is recruiting 20,000 - 30,000 technology engineers. They have asked Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association to recruit young Vietnamese talents in technology. Could you share with us specific information about this cooperation and how the Association has implemented it?

Accenture Company has relied on us to recruit talented young IT engineers from Vietnam. In the near future, the company can immediately receive 1,000 people from Vietnam, including Vietnamese who can speak Thai or Vietnamese in Thailand who meet the criteria. At the 11th Annual Joint Meeting of the two associations held in Bangkok and during this visit, in which we visit and work with the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association, we mentioned this topic.

We hope that Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association introduces its personnel and that Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association will contact Accenture to organize an interview right away.

If we succeed in this cooperation, the two associations will make a practical contribution to facilitating talented young Vietnamese workers and engineers to have jobs and conditions to develop their capacity in Accenture's professional and modern working environment, which engages talented technology engineers from Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Singapore and India.

- In 2023, Vietnam and Thailand will celebrate their 10th anniversary of the establishment of a strategic partnership. What are the main activities that the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association and Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association plan to organize to celebrate this important landmark?

The first important thing is to propagate and promote the completion of the twin provinces relationship between Udon Thani (Thailand) and Thai Nguyen (Vietnamese), thereby enhancing exchanges and cooperation in many fields such as education, investment, investment, and commerce. We will organize introduction and exchange of Thailand's OTOP (One Commune One Product) products in Vietnam and introduce OCOP products of Thai Nguyen in particular and Vietnam in general in Thailand. First, these products will be displayed and introduced at GO! in Thai Nguyen, in Thailand, they will go enter the Central Group supermarket system.

The two associations will coordinate to hold a seminar to connect businesses from the two countries, creating conditions for them to meet, enhance understanding, and improve skills in cooperation and investment.

The two associations will also hold scientific seminars on history, culture, and tourism in Thua Thien Hue or Da Nang city. In addition, a joint meeting between the two associations is expected to take place at the end of the third quarter or the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2023. On this occasion, second Vietnam - Thailand People's Friendship Festival may be held.

We will try to expand the sister province model between Vietnam and Thailand, with don Thani and Thai Nguyen as an example of cooperation between localities.

- What do you expect from the success of friendship activities between Vietnam and Thailand?

At the government level, Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha repeatedly reminds the ministries, departments, sectors, and businesses that Thailand and Vietnam are partners, not competitors, we are neighbors that cooperate and develop together.

In the plan to promote relations with the CLMV group of countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam), Thailand strives to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam to make ASEAN stronger. The friendship associations of the two countries will make an important contribution to promoting this cooperation.

People-to-people ties between the two countries are also increasingly tightened and better connected. Therefore, I have high hopes for the future development of exchanges and cooperation between the peoples of the two countries and the two Associations.

- Thank you very much.
