At the meeting, the representative of Da Nang affirmed the city's effort in reinforcing friendly cooperations with other countries. The city, at the same time, is putting vast efforts in improving its investment environment and business climate to attract investors from overseas, including Swedish enterprises, he noted.

In the years to come, Da Nang plans to boost high-quality service sector such as tourism, finance-banking, education and prioritize hi-tech and environment-friendly industries as well as push forward startups waves.

The Deputy Chair of Da Nang also took the ocassion to ask the Swedish ambassador to help convey his thank to the city of Borås (Sweden) for collaborating with Da Nang in implementing environmental projects - sponsored by the Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD).

Da Nang city hopes the ambassador will help tighten connections between the city and Sweden to beef up bilateral cooperations, particularly linking up the European country's education institutions with Da Nang's, and inform the city on Swedish investment funds & joint program assisting Vietnam's development which Da Nang can be part of.

Ambassador Högberg, for his part, expressed the pleasure to work in Vietnam, especially the trip to Da Nang, and affirmed to do his best to contribute to the friendly cooperation between Sweden and Da Nang; actively encourage business community in home country to invest in the city and create favorable conditions for students in two countries to involve in more training and exchange program./.
