(VNF) - On the afternoon of November 22^nd, in Hanoi, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO), Vice Chairman of Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association (VJFA) Bui Khac Son received a delegation of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association (JVFA) in Japan’s Ibaraki prefecture, led by its Chairman Saito Hiroshi.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the friendship activities of the Associations as well as the opportunities for cooperation between Ibaraki and Vietnamese localities and cities.

"In the context of a volatile global economy, we need to support and help each other to live and work unitedly," said Saito. “We are working harder together for the friendship movement between Vietnam and Japan."

He thanked the warmly welcome of VJFA when the delegation had the opportunity to return to this beautiful and hospitable country.

In 2017, on the occasion of the 50^th anniversary of the Ibaraki JVFA chapter, it has cooperated with VJFA to organise many activities to promote friendship and solidarity between Ibaraki and Vietnamese provinces and cities in particular as well as between Vietnam and Japan in general.

Saito expressed his hope that in the coming time, his chapter and VJFA will join hands more closely and will be the bridge to further promote the cooperation friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.

At the reception, Bui Khac Son welcomed the Ibaraki JVFA chapter coming to Vietnam. The visit symbolizing for close friendship between the Ibaraki JVFA chapter and the VJFA. This is also the beginning of activities to celebrate 45 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries will take place in the coming time.

At the meeting, Son also reviewed the activities of the VJFA in the past year; at the same time, announced some activities of the Association in the coming time.

In December, the delegation of the VJFA will visit Tokyo and working with the JVFA from December 14^th-20^th to prepare for the 45^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (September 21^st, 1973 - 2018)./.
