For newly-approved or uncompleted projects installing lights in public areas, agencies and district/town People’s Committees should recheck and must replace all traditional light sources (incandescent bulbs, halogen, SON, MAIH, compact fluorescent lamps…) by LED light systems.

For maintenance projects, the Hanoi city People’s Committee also asked the Departments of Construction, and Transport, and district/town People’s Committees to strictly use such energy saving source in roads, urban areas and insufficient lighting systems.

The Department of Construction should direct investing agencies to use the best quality LED light systems, and be active in readying funds./.
