On November 20, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province sent a document on continuing to strengthen the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnamnet reported.

Accordingly, the provincial authorities request all the departments, branches, localities to keep propagandizing and mobilizing people to raise their awareness of preventing COVID-19, not to neglect in any cases, etc. In particular, the provincial authorities obligate all residents to wear face masks in public areas. Those who do not comply with the rule will be fined in line with the Government's Decree No. 117/2020 / ND-CP on administrative sanction regulations in the health sector.

The localities’ leaders also need to focus on directing, reviewing, and actively implementing measures to prevent and control COVID-19 as well as have thorough preparation to timely response in case detecting local transmissions.

Besides, it is also essential to abide with 5K message namely Khau trang (face mask) - Khu khuan (Disinfection) - Khoang cach (Distance) - Khong tu tap (No gathering) – Khai bao y te (Health declaration).

The localities need to closely monitor quarantine zones and look out for illegal immigrants, the document added.
