(VNF) - The Quang Ninh delegation won a total of 11 medals at the 2015 National Swimming and Diving 25m pool which has just ended in Thua Thien - Hue province.

The tournament is part of the activities celebrating the 40th anniversary of Thua Thien - Hue’s Liberation Day (March 25th, 1975 - March 25th, 2015) and 69th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27th, 1946 - March 27th, 2015).

Around 190 pers and swimmers from 17 locations competed in 24 medal categories for ping and 40 categories for swimming.

“Cetus” of the Quang Ninh delegation from provincial under-water sports, rescue and ping center took home 11 medals (4 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze), and broke the national record in the 4x100m double swim fins relays and 4x100 m relays medley when doing so.

Female athlete, Duong Thi Thom, successfully pocketed 3 inpidual golds in the 50, 100 and 200m backstroke events, thus helping the delegation to reach third place overall./.
