Quang Ninh bagged two silvers at National Pencak Silat championships
(VNF) - The 2015 National Pencak Silat championships took place from April 12th-18th at the Hai Duong provincial Competition Centre, with the participation of 252 athletes from 25 locations.
They competed in 26 medal categories, in which 20 medal categories for the Tanding event in 45 - 95kg both male and female, and 6 medal categories for the Senni event. This year’s event lured a lot of senior and young athletes.
It was a really good chance for coaches to test their students in preparation for the upcoming regional sporting SEA Games 28.
In the final tally, the Hanoi delegation came out on top with 8 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
The Quang Ninh delegation sent athletes from the provincial sports and physical training center, excluding male artist, Nguyen Thai Linh who has been listed for SEA Games 28, to avoid any possibility of injury. Competitors from the coal region bagged two silvers from the event through the efforts of Tong Thi Hong in the female 70kg’s category, and Vu Ngoc Son in the male 90 kg’s category./.
